Nehru is passionate about storytelling and dedicated to bringing a story to life in a way that captivates and inspires. He develops captivating narratives, conducts insightful interviews and captures authentic storytelling that connects with viewers. 

In 2023, Nehru was awarded a story grant as part of the Internews’ Earth Journalism’s Network ‘Our Mekong, Our Story’ project which was funded by the USAID Mekong For the Future. His film, ‘The Flooded Forest’, explored The Tonle Sap Lake in Cambodia which is facing significant challenges from deforestation, climate change and dam-induced water on the Mekong River. 

Despite these encountered challenges, the Kampong Phluk community in Siem Reap Province has been working to preserve the flooded forest. Known locally as Prey Kub, the flooded forest has become a source of community development, biodiversity preservation, and food security. The film explores the relationship of villagers and fishers with the flooded forest and the fish in the Tonle Sap Lake.

In December 2023, the film was screened at various locations around Cambodia and Thailand.
